This March, Katana Papers travelled to Athens, where our Greek partner Kabanaos presented the Katana range at Image+Tech & Photovision 2026 — the largest photography and imaging exhibition in Greece.
Although we were not physically behind the stand ourselves, Katana was proudly represented by Kabanaos, who introduced visitors to our growing range of photo and FineArt papers.
Walking through the exhibition halls, it was exciting to see Katana papers displayed alongside some of the most respected names in photography and printing. For us, this is always a special moment. Every new country, every new exhibition, and every photographer discovering our papers for the first time is another step in the journey of building the Katana brand.

Prints you can see, touch and compare
One of the highlights of the presentation was the collection of framed photographs displayed around the stand. Printed on different Katana papers, each image demonstrated how much the choice of paper contributes to the final impact of a photograph.
Visitors could see the subtle differences in texture, contrast, depth and surface finish, while discussing the prints with the Kabanaos team.
The full Katana range on display
The Katana portfolio was also available through large-format sample displays, allowing photographers to touch, compare and experience the papers for themselves.
Paper is something that cannot be fully understood through specifications alone. The texture, weight and feeling in the hand are just as important as the numbers on a technical sheet.
The Katana Metal Album
A particularly eye-catching feature was the Katana Metal Album — our A3 presentation catalog with brushed steel covers. Inspired by the Japanese sword that gave the brand its name, the album combines functionality with character and storytelling.
Throughout the exhibition, it attracted plenty of attention from visitors curious to explore the complete paper collection.

Small samples, real conversations
For those who wanted to take a closer look, compact sample books were available as well, making it easy to compare surfaces, textures and paper thicknesses.
Many photographers spent time flipping through the samples, discussing printing techniques and searching for the perfect match for their next project.
A warm response from photographers
What made us happiest was seeing genuine interest from visitors. People stopped, touched the papers, studied the prints, asked questions and shared their own experiences. Those conversations are what exhibitions are really about.
We believe that great photographic paper should offer outstanding image quality without becoming inaccessible. Sharp detail, consistent production quality, beautiful surfaces and reasonable pricing remain at the heart of the Katana philosophy, and it was rewarding to see that message resonate with photographers in Greece.

Thank you, Kabanaos
We would like to thank the entire Kabanaos team for their enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication in presenting Katana Papers at Image+Tech & Photovision 2026.
And of course, thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand, explored the prints and discovered Katana for the first time. We look forward to seeing where your next photographs will take you.
